How to Start Planning a Quinceanera

Planning the perfect Quinceañera can be challenging. For some the hardest part is getting started. Long lists of party planning steps can seem overwhelming at first and inhibit you from doing anything! So instead of a list of must-take steps, here are 3 easy ways to help you get the party-planning process underway. Choose a kick-off method that’s right for you.

Give Yourself a Budget

Overall, how much are you going to spend on your quinces? Answering this question can help you immensely. With a specific sum in mind, you’ll find it easier to narrow down options and determine things like the number of guests, and invitations.

Choose a Theme

Not ready to think about numbers? Another way to begin your plans is thinking of a theme. Knowing what your theme will be means knowing what to shop for your event. It can even help you with what songs to choose for your entrance, and maybe even what food to serve at your reception.

Make a Notebook Planner

Staying organized is important when planning any major event. Making a your own planner is a great first step because it will put you in a party-planning groove and keep you organized from the beginning. Grab a 3-ring binder (with paper and plastic sleeves). Every time you get a new idea, meet a vendor or make a decision, jot it down.
